The Outsiders--Episode #3: Siblings Involved

The Outsiders

Episode #3: Siblings Involved

I entered into my house. It wasn't long until I saw my sister come rushing towards me.

That's right I have a sister. I have 3 sisters and a brother. Ellen, Alana, Joey, and Harlei. Ellen's 16, Alana's 10 almost 11, Joey's 5, and Harlei's 2.

Ellen looks nothing like me. She has dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. I'm almost going to pass her height wise, but she will always see me as the little sibling.

Alana looks a little like me. The only difference is her hair is curly and a bright blond instead of me being blondish with golden highlights. Plus, her eyes turned from brown to blue. When I was little people thought Alana and I were twins cause I used to have bright blond hair and Alana's used to be straight. Alana's about a head smaller than me.

Joey has short blond hair, as blond as Alana's. His eyes are brown, so brown it's hard to see the pupils.

Harlei's just 2. She's a sweet little baby that has blond hair and blue eyes.

Anyway, I get home and Ellen's face didn't satisfy me.

"Where have you been?" Ellen asked me.

"Didn't you get my text?" I asked, "I was walking Carter home since he was attacked earlier!"

"You see?" Ellen asked, "THAT'S what I'm worried about. Which phone did you use to text me that?"

"Justin's," I replied, "Mine died."

Ellen sighed, "You know I don't have him in my contacts! I delete all messages from random numbers before seeing them!"

"I didn't know you didn't have him in your contacts!" I screamed back, "He had you in his!"

Ellen shook her head, "Don't do that again you scared me so bad when the bus went by and neither of you got off."

"Scared? Scared of what?" I screamed.

"Scared that you'll be attacked!" Ellen screamed, "If you got attacked I wouldn't be able to live with myself!"

"Stop yelling!" Alana said coming from behind Ellen, "Stop fighting! Mya did something nice for her friend so leave her alone!"

"Stay out of this, Alana," Ellen said.

"No!" Alana said, "You woke Harlei! Stop fighting!"

We were silent. We could hear poor Harlei's crying in the background. Alana was right. We had woken her up.

"I'm about as upset as you are, Ellen," Alana said, "About all this outsider stuff. But I agree with Mya too. She was only comforting her friend after an attack."

Alana's my Sodapop. She understood me the way no one else has and I could tell her everything I could and she'd keep it. Even if it was to our parents.

"Whatever," Ellen  said, "Don't do it again."

I gave out a large sigh, "Thanks, Alana."

She smiled, "Come on, we gotta go and get Georgiana's present for her birthday on Sunday."

The Outsiders--Episode #2: 3 Years is 3 Years Too Many

The Outsiders

I decided to walk home with Carter, Logan, and Justin. I just wanted to see if he was ok. He was a member of our group and we needed to look out for each other, cause one day we won't have each other. That will be a day I don't want to see.

Carter was fine though. It was like he was never attacked. But me walking them home was the polite thing to do. Especially for an attacked member of our group.

I could tell Logan was eyeing him closely. I don't blame him. His little brother was attacked by a popular. This was Carter's first attack too. Logan needed to look out for him.

Justin didn't say a word or change his expression at all. I know exactly what he was thinking. And he has a right to think so. He was probably thinking that Carter wasn't attacked that bad. It was a fraction of what he had to go through. Now that was terrible.

"I know you're looking at me," Carter said, "I'm fine, Logan."

"I know," said Logan, "but if we didn't show up just imagine what he would've done to you."

That's when Justin snapped, "Stop treating him like the popular broke his arm or something!"

"Justin, calm down," I told him.

He only stopped and stared at me with an angry look, "Calm down? Calm down? That's what you tell me? To calm down?"

"Justin, Mya's right. Just calm down," Logan said.

"How can I calm down when I was given this?" Justin gestured to his scar on his chin, "And my folks didn't even care."

"Now, Justin, you know they cared," Carter said.

"If they did they didn't show any sign of it," Justin said, "They didn't visit me in the hospital, show me any affection when I got home, or comfort me? Why do you think I was scared of populars for so long?"

"We know..." I started to say before I was cut off by Justin.

"No you don't know!" Justin screamed, "You've never been attacked by a popular, Mya!"

This was true. I look like a popular too much. Too much to get attacked by one. It almost seems like I was the only one. But then I remember that Logan hasn't been attacked either. He was just too tall and too muscular.

"Being attacked in 5th grade is hard enough to handle!" Justin continued, "I just can't take any more of this!"

We all can't," said Logan, "we all wish it could get back to the way it was."

"Not as bad as me," Justin said, "3 years is 3 year too many."

"You can say that again," said Carter.

"3 years is 3 years too many," Justin repeated.

I smirked, "It's an expression. But you do kinda need to say it again. Everyone needs to realize it."

Logan nodded, "Mya's got it. Everything needs to stop. I wish it all could just stop. Enough is enough!"

We were all silent. Everyone knows you don't talk to Logan when he's like that. Even Logan shut his trap.  He knew that we had noticed the angry look on his face and the sharp sound in his voice. Trust me, anyone could.

"Well, I'll see ya later," I said as I turned to walk onto my street. One thing was on my mind. Justin was never like that. Not in his life time. But he has a reason to be like that. The rage was building in all of us ever since he had been attacked as bad as he was. You wouldn't want to be attacked like that.

The Outsiders--Episode #1: More Real Than You Think

The Outsiders: A Very Real Story

This story is very real. Only, some of this stuff is fake. Yes a lot of it is true, but some of the events NEVER HAPPENED. Don't penalize me for it or make rude comments. But, more of this story is real than it is fake...

I'll never forget the day I heard #7 8C be yelled out. Of course, the yeller knows it a lot better than I do, but I still remember it. It has been a while since someone has yelled that. But it wasn't because it's during school. We'd yell it in a library. It's because the populars should know by now.

But what does #7 8C mean? It means group number 7 to the middle of the 8th grader hallway. #7=group number 7. 8C=to the middle of the 8th grade hallway or 8th grade center/central.

But who would yell that? Nobody more than my friend, Carter Smith.

Carter was walking down the hall to get a small drink out of the water fountain. He stopped when he heard a voice erupt in the quiet of the hallway.

"Hey, looks like an unpopular needs a drink."

Carter lifted his head and looked in the direction of the voice. He put on a straight face, even though his heart pumped faster than he was breathing.

"Popular," he said. He walked closer to Carter.

"Yell for help and I'll cream ya harder than I'm going to."

"Oh, I won't scream for help," Carter said.

I was finishing my homework. Who wants homework? Not me.

"#7 8C! #7 8C!"

I nearly tripped over my desk I got up so fast. My teacher tried to stop me. My friend was obviously in trouble. There was no way I was stopping for a teacher. Luck thing I wasn't the only one. My friends Georgiana Montgomery and Olivia Morgan quickly followed.

I ran out towards the middle of the 8th grade hallway. I could see him before I got there. A popular had Carter pinned to the wall, his hand on his neck.

"Hey!" someone yelled from the opposite side of the hallway, "Let go of my little brother!"

"Who's gonna make me?" the popular asked.

"We will," said someone coming in from the side of him, his name was Tim. We had him surrounded in a large triangle. Even Justin was helping. He wouldn't go anywhere near a popular, he still has the scars to say why.

"Awe now 7 against 1 ain't fair," said the popular.

"Then let go of my brother," said the one on the opposite side. His name was Logan Smith, and he'd do anything for his little brother and the rest of us. We'd do the same back. It's why we're such a great group. We all stick together. No one could separate us.

Logan gave the popular what we all call his 'devil eye.' The popular took his hand off of Carter and he fell to the floor. After gagging, he stood up next to his brother.

"Now get back to class," said Tim.

After hesitating, Justin said, "Ya, get back to class."

The popular huffed then pushed through Olivia and I and into a class room.

"You ok, Carter?" asked Georgiana. Carter nodded.

"Good job, Justin," said Logan, "That's the first time you even talked to a popular since your attack."

Justin nodded, "Ya, I guess."

"You guess?" I asked, "It's the truth, you know that. And we all are happy you did."

"Especially me," said Carter.

As the popular said, there were 7 of us. Carter Smith, Logan Smith, Tim Gregorian, Justin Naroman, Georgiana Montgomery, Olivia Morgan, and me (Mya Monroe).

Carter was the little brother of Logan, as mentioned before. He had turned 14 in September. He had long dark brown hair and eyes like dirt. He looked a small bit like his brother, Logan. He was tall too, he was 5 foot 9 I bet. And yet he was still growing. Carter is also the person that adds a joke to anyone, just as long as he's in a good mood.

Logan was so called the leader of the group. Not only because he was the oldest, or can give the 'devil eye,' or has the muscles to protect us. It's because he shows good leadership skills. Knows exactly what to say. He was 15 with a birthday coming up in January. I know what you're thinking. A 16 year old? In 8th grade? It's true and can happen. Logan is about 6 foot 3 inches, has short brown hair, and dirt-brown eyes. Some people say that when Logan gives the 'devil stare,' red highlights appear in his eyes. I never saw it, but I've never been given the 'devil eye.'

Tim is about the bravest out of all of us. Also the most dangerous. One time he went into the hall just to get attacked by a popular. He was about the same height as Carter, for a young 13 year old. He has blond hair with bright blue eyes. You just couldn't give the devil stare with those eyes.

Justin was the same age as Carter. They were best friend and neighbors from the start, and you could tell that. Maybe that's why Justin said something to a popular. Justin was attacked by a popular so bad he was sent to a hospital. That popular got expelled. I'd expel him for life. Then again, the school might get sued by the parents. Justin has thousands of scars, one in particular on his chin. It was as obvious as the words in your favorite book. Every time you would look at him, the scar is the first thing you'd notice. In history, we have class with him. The teacher actually gasped and screamed, "What happened to your face?" He backed off when we all shook our heads and Justin gave a pained look.

Georgiana has blond hair and bright blue eyes like Tim. She's the passive one in the group, but boy can she kick butt. She bites, kicks, punches, and does anything for her friends. She's pretty tall and's going to turn 14 soon. We all call her Georgie and boy does she have it rough at home. A step sister that says she'll get out of the house on her birthday just to get rid of her and a mom that will take away her phone for a month just because the dog made a mess. Kinda like Cinderella without the Bippity Boppity Boo.

Olivia will do anything we ask her to, just as long as it doesn't ruin her health or school reputation. She's kinda on the smart side. She gets Honors, and this trimester she has High Honors, so far. She's the shortest in the group with short brown hair and cute green eyes. She wears black skinny black glasses.

Then there's me. Mya Monroe. Some people say the only thing that keeps me from being a popular is the group. I'm the prettiest in the group. Don't take my pole for it. Ask anybody! They'd say the same thing. I have blond hair with golden streaks in my hair. I have chocolate brown eyes and a cute smile. My teeth are perfectly arranged and I don't wear glasses or contacts.

Now what's this popular and unpopular stuff. In our school, there were three groups: the populars, the unpopulars, and the average (also known as the bystanders). The populars and unpopulars everyone knew. If you were pretty or rich, you were popular. If no one really knew that you existed or currently exist, you were an unpopular. There has been a giant feud between the populars and the unpopulars. Unpopulars say that it started when they beat Justin up so badly. Populars say it started when group #2 talked smack to them. But we all do that. So that couldn't have been it. The bystanders wanted nothing to do with it. They weren't popular or unpopular. They just didn't want to get involved or choose sides.

That's Episode #1. Wait for Episode #2, but first, there has to be a Truth vs. Different. A Truth vs. Different lets you know what's real, what's not after each episode so you know which one actually happened, which one didn't.
